Tsukiji Fish Market

This fish market (there are others as well) is one of the biggest in the world handling about 2000 tons of fish products daily. In the neighborhood many fish restaurants are located offering all kinds of fresh fish dishes ‘directly from nearby’.
During December 15th and January 17th the market is closed for the public due to the heavy business during this yearend period.
Usually the eager tourist visits the market early in the morning (starting at 5:00am); we only made it at about 11:00am and watched the cleaning activities …
