Meeting of Dan Degree Holders

 

Today we inform about the Meeting of the Dan degree holders from 3rd Dan, which was organized after the training on Sunday, September 4th.  At that day an exchange of ideas including special practice and lunch took place, and the self-confidence of the Dan degree holders of the Tendokan was strengthened newly.
The summary is in order of the requests to speak.

Memories of Zen Master Daiki

 

The other day we heard from Watanabe Shihan that in the latest newspaper issue was an article about the Zen master Tachibana Daiki, who painted the Kakejiku (hanging scroll), which is hanging at the Shomen of our Dojo (front side of the Dojo). The topic was a refined tea party in 1975. “Because of such people we lost the feeling of our heart, they are too materialistic, and it is their duty being straight”, reprimanded the authority in the Buddhist world from the Daitokuji (in Kyoto), the late master Tachibana Daiki, personally Mr. Konosuke Matsushita (the founder of Panasonic), who attended the party at that time.

Serbia is indeed an interesting country, and when we returned from Serbia to Germany we could feel a big gap in the atmosphere although it is the same Europe.

Anti Inertia

 

As people always ask me what I tell students, who just entered the Tendokan, during my Aikido lessons I will point out the following three statements.

1.    Selecting the Tendokan from all the other Dojos was the best choice.
2.    Continuous training is beneficial for the health of body and mind, and therefore you will become strong.
3.    If you practice continuously you will learn to appreciate the principles ‚ability to read the future’ and ‚clear mind/heart’.
